Product Overview
The Aplisens APM-2 is a modular smart differential pressure transmitter system configured per application (measuring range, PC1/PC2 process connections, cable lengths, and approvals such as Ex ia / Ex d). The Aplisens APM-2 is a smart electronic differential pressure transmitter system that calculates differential pressure using two absolute pressure transmitters (PC1 and PC2) connected to a central unit. It is designed for applications such as hydrostatic level measurement in closed/pressure tanks, as well as density and phase boundary measurement. The modular design allows replacement of individual modules (central unit, PC1, or PC2) using M12 connections.
- System concept: Differential pressure calculated in the central unit from two absolute pressure readings
- Output: 4–20 mA + HART (HART 7)
- Accuracy: ≤ ±0.1%
- Hazardous area: Intrinsically safe (Ex ia) and explosion-proof (Ex d) versions available
- Long distance: Measuring points can be several dozen meters apart (cable length specified by user)
- Benefits: Avoids temperature-gradient errors typical of capillary oil-filled remote seal systems
- Diagnostics: Provides differential pressure, static pressure (PC1 & PC2), and temperature (central unit + both PCs)
Tell us your application (level, filter DP, density/interface), required nominal range, process connection type for PC1/PC2, and cable lengths (LP1/LP2), and we’ll confirm the correct APM-2 configuration and provide a formal quote.

Nominal measuring ranges (FSO)
| No. | Nominal Measuring Range (FSO) | Minimum Set Range (DP) | Admissible Overpressure (PC1/PC2) | PC1/PC2 Measuring Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0…1 bar | 100 mbar | 25 bar | 2.5 bar ABS |
| 2 | 0…6 bar | 250 mbar | 40 bar | 16 bar ABS |
| 3 | 0…60 bar | 1 bar | 160 bar | 100 bar ABS |
Note: If the diaphragm seal pressure rating is lower than the values above, the diaphragm seal rating becomes the limiting factor.
