The Aplisens UZ-2 is an overvoltage protection circuit designed to protect measurement transmitters and auxiliary devices from common overvoltage events such as signal-line voltage/current pulses (induction circuit breaks, high-frequency circuits, high-power devices) and atmospheric discharge. The UZ-2 is intended as additional protection for measuring devices (not a primary lightning protector).
- Designed for: 4–20 mA signal lines
- Protection method: diode transiles, resistors, and gas arresters
- Limits protected-device voltage: approximately 43 V (static overload)
- Protection on both leads of the signal line (independently)
- Installation: mount close to protected device; ensure proper earthing
Available in wall-mounted (N) and DIN rail mounted (L) versions.
