Description

The FLIR K55 Thermal Imaging Camera is a high-performance firefighter TIC designed to provide clear, detailed thermal visibility in smoke, darkness, and extreme fireground conditions. With advanced imaging capabilities, multiple application-specific modes, and onboard image and video recording, the K55 gives firefighters the thermal information needed to navigate structures, locate victims, identify hot spots, and make critical tactical decisions.

The K55 features a 320 × 240 thermal detector with 60 Hz image frequency and FLIR FSX® Flexible Scene Enhancement. FSX® digitally enhances edges and fine details within the thermal image, helping firefighters distinguish structural features, objects, people, and surroundings in smoke-filled and low-contrast environments.

A large 4-inch backlit LCD provides a clear thermal image, while five selectable imaging modes allow firefighters to optimize the camera for different situations. Available modes include Basic, Black and White, Fire, Search and Rescue, and Heat Detection.

The K55 also features internal flash memory with thermal image and MPEG-4 video recording. The camera can store up to 200 image or video files, with video clips up to five minutes each, making it useful for on-scene review, training, incident documentation, and post-fire analysis.

Built for demanding fireground environments, the FLIR K55 features an IP67 enclosure, withstands a 6.6 ft (2 m) drop onto concrete, and is designed to remain operational at temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) for up to 5 minutes.

The FLIR K55 includes the thermal imaging camera, two rechargeable batteries, battery charger, carabiner strap, hard transport case, power supply, printed documentation, retractable lanyard, and USB cable.
