Description
The FLIR AX8 Thermal Imaging Sensor is a compact fixed-mount thermal camera for continuous condition monitoring and early fire detection. Small enough to fit in tight electrical cabinets and machinery spaces, it watches temperature 24/7 and alarms before failures or fires develop.
The AX8 combines an 80 × 60 thermal sensor with a visual camera, measuring from -13°F to 662°F (-25°C to 350°C) with automatic spot and box measurements and up to 10 alarm outputs over Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP. Its IP67-rated housing and streaming MJPG/RTSP output integrate easily with plant networks and monitoring software.
- Compact fixed thermal sensor (54 × 25 × 95 mm) for continuous condition and safety monitoring of electrical cabinets, data centers and process areas
- Lepton-based 80 × 60 IR imaging delivers over 4,800 active temperature measurement points per image
- Thermal, visual and MSX image modes with a built-in 640 × 480 digital camera
- Built-in analysis and alarm functions — up to 5 alarms with digital out, image storage, FTP file sending and email (SMTP) alerts
- Streaming temperature data over industry-standard Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP; MJPEG/MPEG/H.264 video streaming
- Built-in web interface for setup and monitoring — no periodic manual scans needed
- PoE (IEEE 802.3af class 0) or 12/24 V DC power for easy installation
- Guards against unplanned outages, service interruptions and equipment failure
