The FLIR CM78-PV Solar Clamp Meter is a CAT III 1500 V clamp meter purpose-built for solar PV installation and maintenance, where modern array voltages leave ordinary 1000 V meters behind.
The CM78-PV measures DC voltage to 1500 V and AC/DC current to 1000 A, with power, resistance, capacitance, and temperature functions for strings, combiners, and inverters. Solar-specific features — including irradiance-pairing workflows with FLIR PV meters, LoZ mode, and METERLiNK® app connectivity — make it the meter for rooftop and utility-scale solar crews.
- Designed for commercial and industrial electrical inspections and solar PV work
- Measures solar string DC power and performance up to 1500 kVA at a CAT III 1500 V rating
