Description

The NAGCO N012-3022-010 Benzene Separation Tubes are designed for measuring benzene (C6H6) concentrations using a 9.8 eV standard lamp. These separation tubes provide a broad typical measurement range of 0.1–1000 ppm for benzene measurement applications.

Measurement time and required sample volume vary based on temperature. NAGCO specifies measurement times from 40 to 150 seconds and sample volumes from 300 to 1125 mL depending on the temperature at which the measurement is performed.

  • 10–15°C (50–60°F): 90 seconds / 675 mL
  • 15–30°C (60–86°F): 60 seconds / 450 mL
  • 30–40°C (86–104°F): 40 seconds / 300 mL

Calibration & Use

Calibration should be performed at the same temperature as the measurement. NAGCO recommends recalibration when changing tube batches. Humid, clean air drawn through the tube before measurement can reduce VOC capacity.

Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences

The N012-3022-010 has documented cross-sensitivity to several compounds. NAGCO identifies responses from compounds including chlorobenzene, trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene. Other compounds may affect tube response or capacity. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet for complete cross-sensitivity information before use.

Important: Drawing humid air through the tube for extended periods or drawing liquid water through the tube may damage the instrument. Each tube contains 3 mg of chromium compounds. Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and instrument operating instructions when performing measurements.
