Description

The NAGCO N10-104-60 Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of high carbon dioxide concentrations using a manual gas sampling pump. The standard measurement range is 5–40% CO2 using a half pump stroke with a 50 mL sample volume and a sampling time of approximately 1 minute.

For applications requiring measurements below the standard range, the N10-104-60 can also measure 1.25–10% using two pump strokes or 2.5–20% using one pump stroke with the appropriate correction factor.

Key Features

  • Designed for high-range carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement
  • Standard measurement range: 5–40%
  • Extended measurement ranges: 1.25–10% and 2.5–20%
  • Direct-reading colorimetric detector tube
  • Standard measurement uses a 0.5 pump stroke / 50 mL sample volume
  • Approximately 1-minute sample time at standard range
  • White to purple color change
  • No humidity effect from 5–100% RH under specified conditions
  • No temperature effect from 0–40°C (32–104°F) under specified conditions
  • No electrical power required

Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences

NAGCO documents cross-sensitivity testing with carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitric oxide, ammonia, methane, hydrogen sulfide, hexane, isobutylene and toluene. Sulfur dioxide may produce an apparent reading under certain concentrations. Acid gases and other aromatics are identified as possible interferences. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet for complete cross-sensitivity information and test conditions.

Pump Information

NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.

Important: Detector tube readings may be affected by interfering compounds and application conditions. Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions for the specific measurement being performed.
