NAGCO Diesel & Jet Fuel Detector Tubes 0.5-25 ppm | N10-143-10

The NAGCO N10-143-10 Diesel & Jet Fuel Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of diesel and jet fuel vapors using a manual gas sampling pump. The tube has a 0.5–25 ppm standard measurement range and is calibrated to undecane (C11H24).

The standard measurement requires 4 pump strokes for a total sample volume of 400 mL, with a sample time of 4 × 1.5 minutes. NAGCO specifies that the measurement range should not be extended. Correction factors are provided for several fuel types, including automotive or marine diesel, diesel vapors, JP-5, JP-8 and gasoline.

NAGCO documents response and cross-sensitivity data for a variety of compounds including carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, hydrogen sulfide, butane, propane, hexane, octane, benzene, toluene, xylene, styrene, ethanol, isopropanol and acetone. Because response varies significantly by compound, refer to the NAGCO datasheet for the appropriate correction factor and complete cross-sensitivity information.

Pump Information

NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.

Important: This tube is calibrated to undecane. Response varies depending on the specific fuel or vapor being measured, as well as humidity and temperature. Always use the applicable correction factors and follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions when performing measurements.
