Description
The NAGCO N10-103-04 Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of low concentrations of hydrogen sulfide using a manual gas sampling pump. The standard measurement range is 0.2–3 ppm H2S using one 100 mL pump stroke with a sample time of approximately 1.5 minutes.
For applications requiring measurements outside the standard range, the N10-103-04 can also measure 0.1–1.5 ppm using two pump strokes or 0.4–6 ppm using a half pump stroke with the appropriate correction factor.

Humidity Requirement
Important: NAGCO specifies that the N10-103-04 tubes must be used at less than 5% relative humidity (RH). The reading drops sharply above 5% RH. This humidity limitation should be considered when determining whether this tube is appropriate for the intended application.
Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences
NAGCO documents measurable apparent readings from methyl mercaptan and butyl mercaptan. Under the listed test conditions, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon disulfide, carbon monoxide, hexane and toluene showed no apparent reading. Isobutylene may reduce the response when mixed with H2S. HCl and other acids and bases are listed as other possible interferences. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet for complete cross-sensitivity information and test conditions.
Pump Information
NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.
Important: Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions for the specific measurement being performed. Pay particular attention to the less-than-5% RH requirement for this tube.
