NAGCO Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detector Tubes 0.2-3 ppm | N10-103-05

The NAGCO N10-103-05 Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of low concentrations of hydrogen sulfide using a manual gas sampling pump. The standard measurement range is 0.2–3 ppm H2S using one 100 mL pump stroke with a sample time of approximately 2 minutes.

The N10-103-05 uses a pre-tube to eliminate humidity interference, allowing measurements from 5–90% relative humidity without a humidity correction under the conditions specified by NAGCO. For measurements outside the standard range, the tube can also measure 0.1–1.5 ppm using two pump strokes or 0.4–6 ppm using a half pump stroke with the appropriate correction factor.

Humidity Control

The N10-103-05 uses a separate pre-tube designed to eliminate humidity interference. NAGCO specifies no humidity effect between 5–90% RH under the stated test conditions.

Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences

NAGCO documents cross-sensitivity testing with methyl mercaptan, butyl mercaptan, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon disulfide, carbon monoxide, hexane, isobutylene and toluene. Methyl mercaptan and butyl mercaptan showed no apparent reading at the listed 3 ppm test concentration but may interfere at higher concentrations. Isobutylene may reduce the response when mixed with H2S. Acids and bases are listed as other possible interferences. Pump Information

NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.

Important: Detector tube readings may be affected by interfering compounds and application conditions. Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions for the specific measurement being performed. The supplied pre-tube should be used as specified by NAGCO to eliminate humidity interference.
