Description
The NAGCO N10-103-50 Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of very high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide expressed as percent by volume. The standard measurement range is 2–40% H2S using a half pump stroke with a 50 mL sample volume and a sample time of approximately 1.5 minutes.
For applications requiring lower measurement ranges, the N10-103-50 can also measure 0.5–10% H2S using two pump strokes or 1–20% H2S using one pump stroke with the appropriate correction factor.

Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences
NAGCO documents cross-sensitivity testing with carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitric oxide, ammonia, methane, sulfur dioxide, isobutylene, hexane, benzene and toluene. At the specified test concentrations, most of the listed compounds produced no apparent reading. However, 10% ammonia produced an apparent reading of 3.5% with a blue indication. NAGCO also identifies mercaptans as possible interferences and reports no response to sulfides under the documented test conditions. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet for complete cross-sensitivity information and test conditions.
Pump Information
NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.
Important: This detector tube measures hydrogen sulfide in percent (%) rather than ppm. NAGCO notes that measurement timing should be controlled to exactly 2 minutes for best accuracy. Detector tube readings may also be affected by temperature, interfering compounds and application conditions. Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions for the specific measurement being performed.
