NAGCO Water Vapor (Metric) H2O Detector Tubes 1-18 mg/L | N10-120-40

The NAGCO N10-120-40 Water Vapor (Metric) H2O Detector Tubes provide direct-reading measurement of water vapor using a manual gas sampling pump. The standard measurement range is 1–18 mg/L H2O using one pump stroke and a 100 mL sample volume.

For applications requiring measurements outside the standard range, the N10-120-40 can also measure 0.5–4 mg/L using two pump strokes or 2–32 mg/L using a half pump stroke. Temperature must be accurately measured and the appropriate NAGCO correction information applied when required.

Temperature Correction

Accurate temperature measurement is required when using the N10-120-40. NAGCO specifies that temperature correction should be determined using the applicable correction figures for the measurement range. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet and operating instructions before calculating the final water vapor concentration.

Cross-Sensitivity & Interferences

NAGCO documents cross-sensitivity testing with methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, phosphine, acetone and ethanol. Under the specified test conditions, ammonia, acetone and ethanol produced apparent readings. Refer to the NAGCO datasheet for the specific test concentrations and resulting readings.

Pump Information

NAGCO recommends using NAGCO detector tubes with NAGCO sampling pumps. CPS Calibrations can assist customers transitioning from another detector tube system with selecting the appropriate NAGCO tube and sampling equipment for their application.

Important: Accurate temperature measurement is required when using this detector tube. Always follow the NAGCO datasheet and pump operating instructions and apply the appropriate correction information for the measurement range and conditions.
