Description
The RKI 61-0192RK-CH4 is a genuine RKI infrared detector designed for measurement of Methane (CH4) from 0–100% volume. It features an explosion-proof direct-connect design with a 3/4" NPT nipple for use with compatible RKI fixed gas detection systems.
The 61-0192RK-CH4 uses infrared (IR) sensing technology and is designed specifically for high-concentration methane measurement. This version is supplied as the detector/sensor assembly only and does not include a transmitter or junction box.
Important: The 61-0192RK-CH4 measures methane from 0–100% volume. It should not be confused with RKI methane sensors designed for 0–100% LEL measurement.

RKI documentation identifies the 61-0192RK-CH4 as an explosion-proof infrared detector used with compatible RKI fixed-system transmitters and controllers.
Important: Do not confuse this detector with:
- 61-0190RK-CH4 – Methane (CH4), 0–100% LEL, IR explosion-proof direct-connect sensor
- 61-5039RK-CH4 – Methane (CH4), 0–100% LEL, IR plug-in replacement sensor
- 61-5041RK-CH4 – Methane (CH4), 0–100% volume, IR plug-in replacement sensor
The 61-0192RK-CH4 is an explosion-proof detector with a non-replaceable internal sensing element. If the detector requires replacement, the complete 61-0192RK-CH4 assembly is replaced.
