Description

The RKI SDM-6000 Docking and Calibration Station is a versatile maintenance and data-management station designed specifically for the RKI GX-6000 portable gas monitor. It automates routine instrument maintenance including charging, calibration, bump testing, and alarm testing, helping facilities maintain consistent gas detector testing procedures and accurate service records.

The SDM-6000 can operate as a stand-alone calibration station with no PC required. Test and calibration records are automatically stored for future transfer to a computer using an SD card. For larger gas detection programs, multiple SDM-6000 stations can be connected together and controlled from a PC for centralized instrument maintenance and record management.

Its modular design allows up to 10 SDM-6000 stations to be connected using a single power source and calibration-gas setup. Multiple instruments can then be charged, bump tested, calibrated, and have data collected simultaneously. Up to 10 stations can also be connected to one PC for automated instrument maintenance and data archiving.

The SDM-6000 features a 3.5-inch color touch-screen display for stand-alone operation and provides Ethernet connectivity for LAN-based applications. Automated routines can even power connected GX-6000 instruments on and off to perform scheduled calibrations and bump tests.

For applications requiring additional calibration gases, the optional RKI SV-3 Solenoid Valve Module adds three additional calibration-gas inputs, allowing the system to accommodate up to six calibration gas cylinders.
