Four 3.6V/19Ah lithium-thionyl chloride cells (76Ah total) power the unit for up to 6 months, reporting over GEN II 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz WireFree radio to an OTIS controller or gateway.

A note on battery life: the 6-month rating applies to electrochemical and low-power infrared sensors; adding a PID (VOC) sensor cuts battery life to about 45 days. The 160x104 sunlight-readable display shows all channels at once, and magnetic non-intrusive switches allow calibration without opening the enclosure.
