OTIS OI-660 UV Flame Detector

The OTIS OI-660 is an ultraviolet flame detector for hazardous areas where fire has to be caught fast — turbine enclosures, generator rooms, battery rooms, gas cabinets, and munitions facilities. UV sensing picks up both hydrocarbon flames (gasoline, propane, methane, alcohol) and non-hydrocarbon flames (hydrogen, silane, hydrazine) that IR-only detectors can miss, and the built-in automatic self-test continuously proves the detector can still see fire — reporting a fault if its view is impaired.

It wires into whatever your fire panel speaks: two user-configurable relays (fire/trouble, latching or non-latching), a 0–20 mA loop, and programmable RS-485 Modbus. The explosion-proof enclosure carries Class I Division 1 and Class II Division 1 ratings plus NEMA 4X and ATEX/IECEx, with a high-temperature version available to +125 °C for turbine enclosures. Aim it exactly where the hazard is with the OI-208 swivel bracket in aluminum or stainless.
