OTIS OI-760 Multi-Spectrum Infrared Flame Detector

The OTIS OI-760 watches five separate infrared bands at once (2.2, 2.9, 3.7, 4.4, and 5.8 µm), so it can tell a real flame apart from hot equipment, sunlight, and other false IR sources — the classic weakness of single-band IR detectors. That multi-spectrum discrimination makes it the right call for hydrocarbon fire risk in refineries, compressor stations, paint booths, and fuel-transfer areas.

The staged 0–20 mA output doesn’t just say “fire” — it reports warning levels and distinct fault states (relay-coil fault, calibration incomplete, self-test fault, loop fault), so your panel knows exactly what the detector is seeing. Two configurable relays, RS-485 Modbus, Class I Division 1 explosion-proof rating, and NEMA 4X weatherproofing round it out. Aim it with the OI-208 swivel bracket in aluminum or stainless.
